Our story & mission - why Pay it forward financial planning?
the reason the firm exists - our clients
Our firm focuses on non-profit professionals and charitable-minded individuals because you encapsulate the definition of selflessness and paying it forward. My wife, dad, siblings, mother in-law, and sister in-law all work or worked for various non-profit organizations. For much of my life, I've seen firsthand the impact that they, their colleagues, and their organizations have made on our communities. Our firm is dedicated to serving those individuals that dedicate their careers and time of helping others. Currently, we work with clients in the greater Columbus, Ohio metropolitan area, as well as virtual meetings with clients throughout Ohio and the U.S.

Matt’s professional journey
My journey to launching my firm almost never happened. I was in the last semester of undergrad at Otterbein University and had not the slightest idea of what I wanted to pursue as a career after graduation. I was extremely nervous and walked into the office of my microeconomics professor to discuss the possibility of attending graduate school. Instead, he told me about a career as a financial planner and setup an opportunity for me to interview with a former student of his that worked in financial services. The rest is history. I graduated in 2017 with a degree in Applied Mathematics and started my first job in the financial services industry shortly after.
After a few entry-level positions, I was fortunate enough to land at a fee-only financial planning firm in 2020. I was hired as an associate financial advisor, then moved to financial planner before ultimately being promoted to senior financial planner and responsible for 70 households. It was as a senior financial planner that I honed the necessary skills to manage client relationships.
Since entering the industry, I’ve been fortunate enough to obtain several professional designations and further my education, which includes:
Becoming a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional in 2021.
Earning the Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor℠ and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠ designations.
Completing my Master’s of Science in Personal Financial Planning from the College for Financial Planning in 2022.
Passing a three-part tax examination and a background check required to be recognized as an Enrolled Agent.
